Mt 25: 1-13

The parable of the Wise and Foolish Virgins

Whilst writing a piece on hope, in Dutch (can be found under 'dirk van babylon' under 'hoop') I discovered some seventeenth century etchings by Crispijn van de Passe, (I, the elder) | 1589 - 1611

The foolish girls especially are quiete something. Much more so than the wise ones who spend their time sewing and mending, and waiting for the Wellbeloved.

The picture down here shows all the fun the foolish girls are having, thus forfeiting any hope of being invited to the Heavenly Kingdom.
