Teresa Ahumada, of Avila, Spain

I like the smile of the boy particularly. He is an angel really.
We are looking at part of a statue in Rome representing the saint whilst having her extase, involved with a youngster holding a golden arrow in his right hand (not shown in the picture.)
The sculptor is called Gian Lorenzo Bernini and he worked and lived in the first half of the seventeenth century.
