The Mystery of Marville

In The Mystery of Marville, Patrick Bernauw investigates a dark enigma from the 1950s and 1960s: in the cemetery of Marville, in the French border region, 41 Canadian graves were discovered. They turned out to be the graves of newborn babies and young children—virtually no adults were found there, even though a Canadian air force base was located nearby.

Bernauw reconstructs the facts, gathers hypotheses and clues, and invites the reader to search along for the truth behind this forgotten wartime and family secret.

This true crime story is available as an e-book and as a murder mystery game, in which players, as a team of detectives, attempt to solve this macabre riddle.
