Hanna Brems

Hanna Brems (b. 1999) is an old soul in the guise of a cheerful young lady. By day she works as a copywriter, but at night her creative writing comes to life. Her love for language, wordplay and literature germinated along with her first adolescent strokes, and only grew stronger when she started studying language and literature. She still enjoys biting into literary classics by Kafka, Mann, Goethe and Dostoevsky. She also enjoys modern poetry with pleasant eyes and smiles: through Chris Coolsma, she discovered Billy Collins, the American who today – next to Cees Buddingh ‘ – is among her favorite poets.

Her ever-growing “to-read list” has had to give way to something new for several years now: the Dirk of Babylon website.

With passion and love, she continued to build this digital spot together with Dirk from Babylon. She cycles (walks, hops, bounces…) around here daily – if you run into her, feel free to say hello. As hostess and editor-in-chief, she helps other authors open and expand their literary hatches.

Be sure to read her very first post on this website. She wrote that one after Dirk from Babylon asked her to write something about her last name.
