Il n\u2019est pas si facile d\u2019aborder le sujet : qui est malade mental ? C\u2019est en soi une question inqui\u00e9tante. Croyez-moi sur parole : la maladie mentale est tr\u00e8s r\u00e9pandue dans toutes les populations, y compris chez nous, et elle cause beaucoup de d\u00e9g\u00e2ts. \u00c0 commencer par la personne elle-m\u00eame. Il existe souvent, dans la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 comme chez les patients eux-m\u00eames, une m\u00e9connaissance angoissante des notions \u00e9l\u00e9mentaires concernant les maladies mentales, et les pr\u00e9jug\u00e9s sont encore nombreux.<\/span><\/p>\n

L\u2019acc\u00e8s aux soins de sant\u00e9 mentale, qui devrait \u00eatre ouvert \u00e0 tous, est loin d\u2019\u00eatre assur\u00e9 de mani\u00e8re fluide. On constate toutefois qu\u2019un changement de mentalit\u00e9 est peut-\u00eatre en cours. Je remarque dans les m\u00e9dias quelques initiatives porteuses d\u2019espoir, et certains efforts sont faits pour susciter davantage de compr\u00e9hension. Mais le chemin \u00e0 parcourir reste long, surtout dans les milieux qui ne suivent pas tellement les tendances modernes.<\/span><\/p>\n

En attendant, je dois tout de m\u00eame dire que l\u2019aide psychologique dans notre pays est soit insuffisante et d\u00e9bord\u00e9e, soit co\u00fbteuse, mais alors plus rapide et plus efficace. Tout le monde n\u2019a pas les moyens de s\u2019offrir une aide psychologique, et c\u2019est terriblement regrettable.<\/span><\/p>\n

En r\u00e9alit\u00e9, on a le choix entre deux circuits. Je parle ici de la Flandre, o\u00f9 nous avons les Centres subventionn\u00e9s de sant\u00e9 mentale, ou CGG. \u00c0 Bruxelles, c\u2019est encore un peu diff\u00e9rent, et aux Pays-Bas, c\u2019est compl\u00e8tement diff\u00e9rent. Je ne peux pas en parler, mais chez nous, dans la pratique, les listes d\u2019attente sont longues.<\/span><\/p>\n

Il est navrant de constater qu\u2019une personne qui a mis tant de temps \u00e0 se d\u00e9cider \u00e0 franchir le pas vers le psychologue se voit pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment \u00e0 ce moment-l\u00e0, alors qu\u2019elle est engag\u00e9e dans un processus de motivation, annoncer que le premier rendez-vous ne pourra avoir lieu que dans trois mois. Cette personne le vivra comme un v\u00e9ritable coup d\u2019arr\u00eat. Je trouve cela inadmissible et scandaleux, et cela m\u2019exasp\u00e8re constamment.<\/span><\/p>\n

Alors, on peut renoncer \u00e0 ce secteur subventionn\u00e9 et regarder quelles prestations payantes sont disponibles. Je le conseillerais certainement dans les cas o\u00f9 il est question d\u2019une addiction de longue dur\u00e9e et o\u00f9 il reste encore suffisamment de ressources financi\u00e8res.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
