Je constate que, historiquement, la formation des m\u00e9decins a toujours accord\u00e9 une attention insuffisante \u00e0 la prise en charge des troubles psychiques. M\u00eame au sein du corps m\u00e9dical, de nombreux pr\u00e9jug\u00e9s subsistent. J\u2019ose esp\u00e9rer que les jeunes m\u00e9decins en ont moins. Beaucoup peuvent encore comprendre la souffrance psychique lorsqu\u2019elle est la cons\u00e9quence d\u2019\u00e9v\u00e9nements douloureux de la vie, mais cela devient nettement plus difficile lorsqu\u2019il s\u2019agit de v\u00e9ritables probl\u00e8mes de hardware qui affectent la cellule c\u00e9r\u00e9brale.<\/span><\/p>\n

J\u2019entends par l\u00e0 les v\u00e9ritables tableaux psychiatriques, tels que les diff\u00e9rentes formes de psychose. Ils ne sont pas la cons\u00e9quence d\u2019un revers quelconque ou d\u2019une mauvaise \u00e9ducation, mais on na\u00eet avec eux, m\u00eame s\u2019ils peuvent ne se manifester que plus tard. Les deux principaux, qui requi\u00e8rent dans notre pratique la plus grande attention, sont le trouble bipolaire et la psychose, mais on pourrait \u00e9galement citer la d\u00e9pression saisonni\u00e8re ou le TDAH.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00c0 strictement parler, le TDAH ne fait pas partie des psychoses, m\u00eame si un grand nombre de patients sont sensibles, dans des situations de stress exceptionnelles, \u00e0 des \u00e9pisodes de d\u00e9compensation psychotique transitoire. C\u2019est une anomalie cong\u00e9nitale, ou, si l\u2019on pr\u00e9f\u00e8re, une mani\u00e8re diff\u00e9rente d\u2019\u00eatre, qui ne dispara\u00eetra pas sous l\u2019effet de mesures \u00e9ducatives ou d\u2019une psychoth\u00e9rapie, m\u00eame si celles-ci peuvent aider \u00e0 mieux vivre avec elle.<\/span><\/p>\n

Elle peut constituer un handicap que l\u2019on peut surmonter gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la volont\u00e9, \u00e0 l\u2019imagination et \u00e0 une aide appropri\u00e9e, dans laquelle les m\u00e9dicaments ont \u00e9galement leur place. Cette anomalie est li\u00e9e \u00e0 des substances pr\u00e9sentes dans le cerveau, appel\u00e9es neurom\u00e9diateurs, qui fonctionnent de mani\u00e8re inad\u00e9quate chez certaines personnes. On na\u00eet avec cela et on ne peut plus le changer. Ce n\u2019est pas non plus la faute des parents et ce n\u2019est pas d\u00fb \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9ducation, m\u00eame si celle-ci pourrait souvent \u00eatre meilleure.<\/span><\/p>\n

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity<\/span><\/i> Disorder<\/span><\/i> peut se traduire en n\u00e9erlandais par \u00ab attention trop br\u00e8ve et activit\u00e9 excessive \u00bb. Il s\u2019agit d\u2019un diagnostic reconnu internationalement selon le DSM-V, ou cinqui\u00e8me version du <\/span>Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders<\/span><\/i>, sorte de bible de la nosologie psychiatrique. Il s\u2019agit d\u2019un ensemble coh\u00e9rent de sympt\u00f4mes. Sont caract\u00e9ristiques les comportements impulsifs, les probl\u00e8mes de concentration, l\u2019agitation et les difficult\u00e9s d\u2019apprentissage.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ces sympt\u00f4mes sont d\u00e9j\u00e0 pr\u00e9sents durant l\u2019enfance et entravent souvent le fonctionnement social quotidien, notamment \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9cole, o\u00f9 ces enfants repr\u00e9sentent un d\u00e9fi particulier pour les enseignants. C\u2019est parfois l\u00e0 que les choses tournent mal, parce que l\u2019\u00e9l\u00e8ve est agit\u00e9, ne parvient pas \u00e0 rester attentif en classe et r\u00e9clame constamment de l\u2019attention.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
