Je vais bien devoir l\u2019avouer. Je r\u00e9partis l\u2019humanit\u00e9 souffrante en trois grandes cat\u00e9gories : les idiots, les n\u00e9vros\u00e9s et les psychotiques. Pour la premi\u00e8re cat\u00e9gorie, nous pouvons \u00eatre assez brefs. Deux sortes sont importantes : les idiots heureux et les idiots nuisibles. Pour la premi\u00e8re cat\u00e9gorie, cette appellation est irrespectueuse et quelque peu provocatrice, car il s\u2019agit en r\u00e9alit\u00e9 des personnes \u00ab normales \u00bb qui r\u00e9solvent leurs propres probl\u00e8mes sans se plaindre.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ce n\u2019est pas dit de mani\u00e8re d\u00e9nigrante, mais les idiots sont tous ceux qui demandent de l\u2019aide sans vraiment voir le lien entre le corps et l\u2019\u00e2me, et qui, malgr\u00e9 cela, avancent g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement dans la vie sans \u00eatre trop g\u00ean\u00e9s. De nombreux troubles physiques sont en effet li\u00e9s \u00e0 une disposition psychique. Il est parfois tr\u00e8s difficile de faire accepter cette id\u00e9e, car tout le monde n\u2019a pas acc\u00e8s \u00e0 son monde int\u00e9rieur. Chez beaucoup, il y a comme un verrou.<\/span><\/p>\n

Les plaintes psychosomatiques sont tr\u00e8s fr\u00e9quentes dans la pratique du m\u00e9decin g\u00e9n\u00e9raliste. Nous parlons alors de troubles pour lesquels aucune atteinte organique ne peut \u00eatre trouv\u00e9e. Tout fonctionne comme il se doit et pourtant la personne souffre de sympt\u00f4mes apparemment insurmontables. En apparence, ces personnes en parfaite sant\u00e9 physique ne semblent pas avoir de vie int\u00e9rieure, ou n\u2019en parlent jamais. Elles ne manifestent d\u2019ailleurs aucune demande de r\u00e9flexion psychologique et sont peut-\u00eatre heureuses dans leur univers quotidien.<\/span><\/p>\n

Il ne faut surtout pas bouleverser ces braves gens avec toutes sortes de messages apostoliques dont certains professionnels de sant\u00e9 ont parfois le secret. Nous voulons faire baisser le cholest\u00e9rol ou augmenter la satisfaction. Peu importe. Le professionnel de sant\u00e9 n\u2019est ni un proph\u00e8te ni un policier. Il ou elle doit surtout se m\u00ealer de ses affaires et ne pas porter de jugements.<\/span><\/p>\n

Les idiots utiles s\u2019adaptent sans se plaindre \u00e0 notre soci\u00e9t\u00e9 devenue folle. Je peux me permettre de les trouver idiots, puisqu\u2019ils n\u2019ont pas grand-chose \u00e0 attendre de moi, et je ne peux gu\u00e8re faire davantage pour eux que r\u00e9soudre de temps \u00e0 autre un probl\u00e8me pratique. Cela peut se faire de mani\u00e8re chaleureuse et joviale, mais cela ne va pas en profondeur. Et c\u2019est tr\u00e8s bien ainsi. Parfois, il vaut mieux, s\u2019il vous pla\u00eet, ne pas aller fouiller dans l\u2019\u00e2me, car tout y est verrouill\u00e9.<\/span><\/p>\n

Il existe encore des gens normaux, mais ils se plaignent peu et il y a donc peu \u00e0 en dire. Chacun peut bien \u00eatre un jour excit\u00e9 ou \u00e9motif, mais personne n\u2019y voit une maladie. Je les laisse tranquilles et ne vais pas les assaillir de questions existentielles, dans l\u2019espoir de pouvoir, moi aussi, \u00eatre ou devenir un idiot heureux et utile. C\u2019est probablement le plus haut degr\u00e9 que l\u2019on puisse atteindre dans la vie.
