\n<\/span>L\u2019alexithymie est un trait de personnalit\u00e9 caract\u00e9ris\u00e9 par des difficult\u00e9s \u00e0 d\u00e9crire et \u00e0 diff\u00e9rencier les sentiments. Si vous souffrez d\u2019alexithymie, vous avez du mal \u00e0 reconna\u00eetre vos propres sentiments. Votre vie fantasmatique est limit\u00e9e et votre pens\u00e9e est principalement orient\u00e9e vers le monde ext\u00e9rieur, plut\u00f4t que vers l\u2019exp\u00e9rience int\u00e9rieure. Mettre des mots sur les \u00e9motions, les comprendre et les g\u00e9rer pose probl\u00e8me.<\/span>
\n<\/span>Le terme a \u00e9t\u00e9 cr\u00e9\u00e9 en 1972 par le psychiatre gr\u00e9co-am\u00e9ricain Peter Stines (1920 \u2013 2008), \u00e9galement consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme le fondateur de la th\u00e9rapie psychodynamique br\u00e8ve. Pour le dire de mani\u00e8re quelque peu irr\u00e9v\u00e9rencieuse : une psychanalyse turbo. Dans l\u2019alexithymie, il est difficile de faire la distinction entre un sentiment et la sensation corporelle qui l\u2019accompagne.<\/span>
\n<\/span>On per\u00e7oit les \u00e9motions comme une invention de l\u2019esprit, et non comme une r\u00e9alit\u00e9 qui affecte \u00e9galement le corps. L\u2019imagination ne va gu\u00e8re plus loin que le prochain repas ou peut-\u00eatre une visite au magasin. Tout cela ne serait pas si grave si, dans certains cas, ne venait s\u2019y ajouter une <\/span>dysphorie<\/span><\/i> : un malaise latent qui vous assaille continuellement et qui \u00e9clate parfois en cris ou en col\u00e8re.<\/span>
\n<\/span>Il ne s\u2019agit pas de patients ayant un vocabulaire limit\u00e9 ou des capacit\u00e9s intellectuelles insuffisantes. Bien au contraire. Il y a parmi eux pas mal de grosses t\u00eates qui excellent dans un domaine particulier, mais qui ont perdu quelque part le lien entre l\u2019esprit et le corps. Le probl\u00e8me est que cela entra\u00eene une perte de contr\u00f4le, parce que le corps, lui, fait toutes sortes de choses toute la journ\u00e9e.<\/span>
\n<\/span>De temps \u00e0 autre, on per\u00e7oit quelque chose de ces activit\u00e9s int\u00e9rieures qui se d\u00e9roulent sans cesse en nous. Des palpitations, par exemple, ou une crampe \u00e0 l\u2019estomac, de l\u2019air dans les intestins qui produit un gargouillement, des flatulences et, pour le dire vulgairement, trop de pets.<\/span>
\n<\/span>Il se passe tant de choses spontan\u00e9ment dans notre corps qui \u00e9chappent \u00e0 notre contr\u00f4le. Tous ces organes que nous poss\u00e9dons suivent leurs protocoles et, parfois, l\u2019un d\u2019entre eux d\u00e9raille. Tout le monde ressent quelque chose chaque jour. Une jambe qui s\u2019endort, le nez qui d\u00e9mange, des bourdonnements d\u2019oreille, et j\u2019en passe.
