The Night Brings Counsel<\/h2>\n

The feather quilt covers dark thoughts at night.<\/span>
\n<\/span>Limbs grow slow and the body grows slack.<\/span>
\n<\/span>The mind slows, the screen drifts lazily.<\/span><\/p>\n

Then something returns each night again.<\/span>
\n<\/span>They come advancing by the cartload,<\/span>
\n<\/span>Creeping along bedposts and chrome<\/span>
\n<\/span>Of the spring mattress, driven<\/span>
\n<\/span>By their own autonomous desire, hunting round.<\/span><\/p>\n

Only one brings peace to this chase:<\/span>
\n<\/span>The one who brings slumber and solace<\/span>
\n<\/span>And the forgetting of words.<\/span><\/p>\n

No more worry, no lament, no complaint\u2014<\/span>
\n<\/span>Entrance into untainted regions.<\/span>
\n<\/span>Let us hope it succeeds again today:<\/span>
