We were so glad to be allowed to speak<\/span>
\n<\/span>And thus somewhat overstepped our bounds.<\/span>
\n<\/span>It came almost by itself; that was enough.<\/span><\/p>\n

We clear the stage\u2014it is no longer pleasant<\/span>
\n<\/span>Now that the audience mutters and rebels.<\/span><\/p>\n

One final little sonnet and then begone!<\/span>
\n<\/span>The groaning public may no longer ask for more.<\/span>
\n<\/span>Pasquino silently mounts the scaffold,<\/span>
