Sorry that I haven’t been in touch for a while, but a lot of work has been done behind the scenes. We’re launching a new medical website to better showcase the practice, and we’re also going online with something new on our personal ‘dirk van babylon dot com site’: the Pasquino tear-off calendar.
That’s for the coming days. Meanwhile, it was high time to do something with our blog again. So here I am with a photo of an Acapulco chair in our accommodation at Lake Garda. It makes for a graphic photo, I think. With my foot in it, you get a sense of perspective. A good place. There was a good swimming pool and a decent restaurant. Nothing to complain about. <\/p>\n
Nothing but praise for these vacation days in August. I know, I’m overdue. The water and the skies and the beauty of the landscape. And the good food. Here’s a photo of a tuna tartare on the Sirmione peninsula. Great location of the restaurant with a terrace practically in the water. La Bella Italia. We really enjoyed it. It’s not cheap, but only a spoilsport would care about that. <\/p>\n
The good life that we’re allowed to have. It’s a privilege that we haven’t really earned through personal effort, but that’s also thrown our way by a favorable star. What beautiful days they were. Nice neighbors in our little apartment. Benny and Thea, hello! A Dutch couple who were never at a loss for words. It was laughing, roaring, howling, along with belly shaking and some thigh slapping, non-stop hilarious fun. How a person keeps that up. I don’t know how I can handle it all. We had plenty of commentary on the other guests, including initially a noisy German group of boisterous young men, whom we had to call to order. <\/p>\n
A few mosquitoes notwithstanding, they were wonderful evenings that we spent there without a care. We’ll come back to it, but for now we’ll have to make do with these images. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
